This year’s MHP application season received a generous amount of qualified and eager applicants, despite the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, we received a record number 194 completed applications and 42 prospective students were selected for interview. The three interview days were spread out over March and April 2021, and the applicants spent their entire day interviewing via Zoom. Despite the many adversities brought upon by the COVID-19 pandemic, the interview days went very well.
“Doing the interview cycle via Zoom poses various challenges, but it’s amazing to see how everyone has adapted so well to it. That being said, I’m very much looking forward to again meeting applicants in person.” says program director, Dr. Peter Sayeski.
In the end, eleven students were admitted into the MHP and in turn, will be the founding members of the UF COM Class of 2026.
